Inside the Organizer's House: My Teeny Tiny Bathroom

November 13, 2015 Lauren Weldon May

A continuation of last month's new series!

Ever wonder what a professional organizer does with a teeny tiny bathroom? My own bathroom is little bitty with hardly any built-in storage space - only one under-sink cabinet and two skinny 5" wide drawers. When I moved in, I wasn't immediately sure how I wanted to handle this confined space but after a few weeks of living with it, I settled on open shelving. I love having my everyday beauty routine in an easy-to-grab location so this was the perfect solution. Luckily, I have a lot of products with beautiful branding (hello, French beauty products! I'm looking at you, Avene Eau Thermale and Klorane!) so it still looks polished.

I picked up some Ikea shelves that have modern, clean lines. A few accessories, a basket for toilet paper, plush rolled towels, and a cute crate for my daily products and I was all set. I use the drawers for smaller items like hair ties, toothpaste, deodorant, and contacts. The under-sink cabinets house my larger products that aren't used daily (nail polish, face masks, hair spray, etc.).

There you have it...proof that a bathroom doesn't have to be big to be beautiful and functional!
